2010
The Lab has been founded thanks to a number of initiatives Professor Maria Voutsinou-Kikilia, Head of the Department of Classics during 2010, had undertaken.
2010-2018
Since 2010 the Lab remained inactive till summer 2018. A single mention of its existence and general purpose is found in the Internal Evaluation Report of the Faculty of Philology (p. 57) during 2011, where "new knowledge and [...] participation in funded research projects" are mentioned as two of the Lab's main goals.
2018
The Lab has been re-founded (Government Gazette, issue 2137B/11-06-2018) in virtue of the Law's 4485/2017 (Government Gazette, issue 114A/04-08-2017) Article n. 29 and the NKUA (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) Rector's Act n. 702/22-05-2018.
